When in Doubt, Self-Care it Out
Since the pandemic, outings and pampering of the self has declined drastically. In the United States, everything that was not deemed as essential was closed for a minimum of three months. Then, with the opening of the country, there were strict re-opening regulations.
This potentially put people's nails, hair, skin, overall beauty health at a stand still. Which we know, in turn deflates one's mental health. In a time of major stress, COVID has opened the doors for new ways of that oh-so-needed self-care. Many companies-in addition to newly developed business-have created a target audience of "at home products."
Anything from bath-bombs, to new and improved skin routine, and "salon style at-home" nail kits. Where we see a decline in outings, an increase of individual self-care arises. Fewer people are attending their dental clinics, but we see a rise in at home whiteners and teeth straighteners. Nail salons are half capacity, but new powder-dip is all the rave.
Just because COVID is locking us up and putting us down, does not mean we stop taking care of ourselves. At Mode Noire, we believe your outfits should motivate you. Give you the confidence to seize the day-even if it is in your living room.
